orthodontic treatmentAre you happy with your smile?

Orthodontic treatment does more than improve your smile. Studies show a great smile can change the way you view yourself as well as improve your social life and success at work. Keeping your mouth healthy includes treating functional issues such as crooked teeth and bite problems. By correcting these issues now with Seidner Dentistry’s orthodontic treatments in Randolph, NJ, you can prevent increased risk of tooth decay and gum disease later. An uncorrected bite can cause stress on your jaw, teeth and muscles which could lead to headaches and TMJ disorders.

Using traditional braces is a proven and reliable way to make a great cosmetic difference in your smile. Here at Seidner Dentistry & Associates in Randolph, NJ, we offer an array of solutions for orthodontics. For those who desire clear brackets or plastic aligners, your orthodontist can provide you with choices so you can be happy during your time in treatment.

Why choose an Orthodontist for your care?

All orthodontists are dentists first. Out of 100 dental school graduates, approximately six go on to become orthodontists. There are three steps in an orthodontist’s education: college, dental school, and orthodontic residency program. It can take ten or more years of education after high school to become an orthodontist. After completing college requirements, the prospective orthodontist attends dental school. Upon graduation, the future orthodontist must be accepted as a student in an accredited orthodontic residency program, then successfully complete a minimum of two academic years of study. The orthodontic student learns the skills required to manage tooth movement (orthodontics) and guide facial development (dentofacial orthopedics) and practice in these areas exclusively. Our orthodontist, Dr. Eric Frank (orthodontic specialty # 6336) is also certified in Invisalign and Incognito, and is a member of AAO, NJDA, ADA, NASO and Diplomate of The American Board of Orthodontics.

Did you know not every orthodontist is board certified?  There is a difference between licensed and board certified. All practicing orthodontists are licensed; only a much smaller percentage of orthodontists are board certified as well. Certification as a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics signifies a unique achievement. The candidate must demonstrate actual accomplishments in patient care with detailed case reports for a broad range of patient problems. Board certification is a unique honor following a process by which an individual orthodontist is thoroughly examined by an expert panel as to orthodontic knowledge and clinical skills. Click here to learn more about becoming board-certified.
